Control Panel

On the Android platform, the control panel is the "Settings option" and can be accessed by pushing the "menu" button from the home screen and touching the option "Settings".


The following is a list of what you can find in "Settings".

Personalize -  here you can choose scenes, set wallpaper and choose the default ringtone.
Wireless & netoworks - This is covered on another post in this blog
Call - This contains several call options for how the phone behaves while dialing and receiving calls.
Sound - Here is where you control volume, vibrate, sound, and various ringtone options
Display - Controls brightness, animations, resolution, and screen timeout among other things.
Accounts & sync - Here you control how applicaations interact and sync with the phone and   contains account info for various apps.
Location - This turns on or off the GPS and Wireless radios.
Search - This configures search options.
Connect to PC - This controls how the phone behaves when plugged into a computer via USB.
Security - This is where you configure phone password behavior, screen lock,  and storage password.
Dock - Controls behavior when pugged into car dock.
Applications - Has running services and ability to manage and remove apps.
SD & phone storage - Erase the whole phone here.
Date & time - Date and time format.
Language & keyboard - This controls behavior of typing and ability to change languages.
Voice input & output - Has various options for voice settings.
System updates - Contains options for updating firmware, profile, PRL, and HTC software.
About Phone - Includes information about the phones hardware, software, battery usage, and legal information.
